Army deserter who fled to Canada sentenced to 10 months in prison
Wed May 1, 2013
She had lots of options instead of deserting. The military has been voluntary for awhile now. If you find out it is not your cup of tea, desertion is the absolute last way to end your contract.
What your sneeze says about your personality
Tue Apr 23, 2013
Nope! I am pretty quiet reserved guy. BUT when it comes to sneezing, loud and can be quite messy. Certainly cover them as best I can - tissue/sleeve, away from everyone. A very natural bodily act and should not be interrupted.
Paul not ready to embrace Rubio, Gang of Eight immigration legislation
Wed Apr 17, 2013
I find it stunning that "without studying it" he is already against it. Senator, you must understand that what we have for an immigration policy is nothing short of a joke.
Psst, procrastinators: Here's why you still haven't done your taxes
Mon Apr 15, 2013
I prepare taxes for my parents, Mother-In-Law, Brother-In-Law, son and of course me. I get a tax prep software package that imports last year's return. Each set of taxes takes me about 30 minutes to prepare, print and file.
Repentant Anthony Weiner considers run for New York mayor
Wed Apr 10, 2013
Mr. Weiner, there comes a time when everyone must take stock of themselves. You were granted an extreme privilege of serving as an U.S. Congressman. You exhibited some very serious character flaws. First, your unexplainable need to have lewd interactions with ladies that clearly we …
Army employs video game to help curb sex assaults; critics call it 'affront'
Wed Apr 10, 2013
I am not sure why the activists are opposed to the training. Most servicemen (and servicewomen) will act according to the norms of our society. Where many of them run afoul is when they lose their faculties - intoxicated.
Readers' stories: Life on $7.25 per hour
Sat Mar 16, 2013
My heart goes out to all those that find themselves in this situation. Working multiple jobs just to make ends meet is a terrible burden. All I can say is keep plugging away and keep looking for those jobs that are not at the minimum wage level.
Fewer Americans count on retiring by 65
Wed Jan 30, 2013
Been planning retirement for 20 years. Despite economy and democrats, should still be on track to retire in 15-17 years.
Florida man accused of fraud after name change in "act of love"
Tue Jan 29, 2013
If so then women changing their names should also have to undergo the same process. Gender is the issue here and the law simply has not kept up with our society. Florida is correct in upholding the statute as it is written.
Snyder signs Michigan anti-union 'right to work' measures over protests of thousands
Tue Dec 11, 2012
It is unfortunate that this issue is as divisive as it has become. Unions certainly have lifted many workers out of oppressive work conditions decades ago. The problem with unions today is that not everyone is subject to their umbrella.
